A clerical assistant provides specific administrative support in an organization. This is a good career opportunity. Determination and willingness to learn can make the whole experience very enjoyable. The individual must have great communication skills. The job responsibilities of a clerical assistant include:
(a) Front Desk and Telephone Receptionist Duties
(b) Managing Correspondence
(c) Filing Documents
(e) Data Entry
Apart from these, a clerical assistant may have other roles to play depending on the assigned department. For example, if the individual is a part of the sales department, he/she might need to compile sales reports. If the clerical assistant is working in the purchasing department, he/she might have to send bills for settlement to the Accounting Department or prepare requisition forms.
