A front desk clerical assistant is essentially the image of the employer in question. Very often, she is the only person that guests and other business delegates to the organization get to meet. Although mainly an entry-level role, a clerical assistant must be able to foster a comfortable interaction with individuals from across all walks of life.

Since the person sitting at the front desk is usually the first individual that guests come across, she is required to maintain and conduct herself in a manner that creates a strong positive first impression. In this regard, her attitude and behaviour are crucial. The clerical assistant should be welcoming and conduct herself in a professional manner, even while busy with other tasks.
